IRISH SYMBOLS: BETWEEN MUSIC AND TRADITIONS
These symbols resume the style of the Celtic knots, but are obtained weaving the symbols of treble clef and/or bass clef. In this way I want to combine Irish tradition with the musical element.
Rotation and symmetry have been applied to the basic element to create these symbols. After that, have been applied manually the necessary weaves to give the illusion of a knotted ribbon.
The work wants to communicate the indissolubility of the link between Irish music and culture, a weave of different parts of the same nation that are both necessary.
SIMBOLI IRLANDESI: TRA MUSICA E TRADIZIONI
Simboli che richiamano lo stile dei nodi celtici, ma sono generati dall’intreccio di chiavi di violino e/o chiavi di basso, in modo da fondere la tradizione irlandese con l’elemento musicale.
Nella creazione di questi simboli, l’elemento base ha subìto opportune trasformazioni geometriche, quali rotazione e simmetria. Si è poi provveduto ad intervenire direttamente sul segno grafico per cercare di creare l’illusione di un nastro annodato.
Il lavoro vuole comunicare l’indissolubilità del legame presente tra musica e cultura irlandese, un intreccio, appunto, di parti diverse di una stessa nazione che sono entrambe necessarie.
